Our match prediction:
After losing the Euro 2016 play-offs to neighbours Sweden, Denmark fared well at the 2016 Kirin Cup in Japan, hammering Bulgaria 4-0 in the process, and they seem ready for the new qualifying campaign. New coach Age Hareide has somewhat rejuvenated the squad after taking over from the legendary Morten Olsen, with Andreas Cornelius, Rasmus Falk and Jens Larsen some of the newcomers. However, the Danes still have a very strong squad with Christian Eriksen, Simon Kjaer and William Kvist, so we predict they will not have too many problems with minnows Armenia in spite of injuries to Michael Krohn-Dehli and Martin Braithwaite. Their opponents were quite disappointing in the European qualifiers, failing to record a single win, but they showed some promise in games against Guatemala and El Salvador. However, we believe they lack the quality to match the very good Denmark side, since there is only so much Man Utd star Henrikh Mkhitaryan can do on his own.
