Our football match prediction:
Despite failing to impress in their second group game against Morocco, Spain eventually picked up all three points from the match. La Roja broke the deadlock thanks to Diego Costa’s goal and, no doubt, all eyes will be on the Atletico Madrid striker when Spain face Morocco in their last group game. Fernando Hierro’s men are one point away from booking their place in the last 16 of the World Cup and we predict that they are going to adopt a cautious approach in Monday’s football match. The African side, on the other hand, were more than unfortunate not to grab something from the game against Portugal and, as a result, they suffered elimination in the group stages of the showpiece tournament. Morocco footballers are eager to prove their worth against the star-studded Spaniards, but seeing that La Roja want this win more, we are tempted to put our money on Fernando Hierro’s men.
Highlighted Player (Diego Costa):
Diego Costa is a Brazilian-born attacker who plays for Spain. “The Tasmanian devil” decided to switch his allegiance to the Spain national team, but he did not make Spain Euro 2016 squad. The controversial forward is well known for his bad-tempered affairs and he is considered one of the most disliked men in the world of football. Diego Costa began his senior career at Braga and he used to play for the likes of Penafiel, Celta Vigo, Albacete, Real Valladolid, Rayo Vallecano and Atletico Madrid in the past as well. Costa currently plays for Chelsea and he impressed in the 2014/2015 Premier League campaign with the Stamford Bridge outfit, scoring 20 goals in the English top flight. However, he was struggling to find his best form in the 2015/2016 campaign and it is no surprise he netted just 12 goals for Chelsea in the national championship. Diego Costa won Spanish La Liga with Atletico Madrid in 2014 and he participated in the Champions League final against Real Madrid the same season. On the other hand, he clinched the Premier League trophy with Chelsea in 2015.
Highlighted Team (Morocco):
Morocco, the Atlas Lions, are the first African team to win a group at the World Cup finals. Back in 1986 the team managed to finish the group stages above Portugal, Poland and England, but West Germany proved to be a big catch for the Moroccan national team in the last 16 of the tournament. The Atlas Lions participated at the World Cup finals on four occasions, but winning of the 1976 Africa Cup of Nations is considered the team’s biggest success. Morocco were producing outstanding displays at the tournament in Ethiopia and it has to be noted that they defeated Guinea in the title game. Morocco play their home games at Stade Adrar and Stade de Marrakech and they wear red shirts and green shorts when playing in front of home fans. A number of top-class footballers played for Morocco in the past, but Mustapha Hadji is certainly the biggest star who played for the Moroccan national team.
