Sampdoria
Benevento will be looking to make amends for a heavy 4-0 loss to Inter when they take on Sampdoria in the Serie A round 21. Benevento are on the right track to meet their goal and secure the Serie A survival, but they can’t afford any complacency in the remainder of the season. The Gli Stregoni are on a four-game winless run in the Serie A, but they are surely capable of matching Sampdoria, who are not regarded as good travellers.
Both Letizia and Moncini are likely to miss the game with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team. La Samp, on the other hand, failed to make life difficult for Juve in their last league match, with the team remaining in tenth position in the standings. Claudio Ranieri’s troops are eyeing their fifth away win of the season, but they should be happy with one point from Sunday’s clash. Experienced attacker Gabbiadini should be the only absentee in the away team.

Gianluca Lapadula, also known as Lapagol, due to his goalscoring abilities, was born in Turin and started his career at Juventus youth team, but was released because he wasn’t doing well in his studies. After the departure with Juventus, Lapadula perfected his goalscoring skills in lower Italian leagues and even spent one year in NK Gorica, Slovenia.
During his spell in Ravenna, he managed to finish the season 2012/13 as the top scorer in the group, netting 24 goals in the process. For a long period of time, the 28-year-old was Parma’s player, but he went on loans often, and, after Parma went bankrupt, Lapagol moved to Pescara. With 30 goals in 43 appearances, the striker caught the eye of Serie A giant Milan. He netted his first goal for the Rossoneri only three minutes after he came on as a substitute.
The following season Lapagol became the striker of Genoa. Even though he was called to play for Peru, the Genoa hitman decided to represent Italy, getting his first call to the senior squad in November 2016. However, he never made an official appearance for Italy, since he only played an unofficial friendly against San Marino, when he scored a hat-trick.

The club colours of Sampdoria are blue and white and is known under the nickname Blucerchiati. Sampdoria host it’s home games in the Stadio Luigi Ferraris which is located in Genua. Interesting detail is that their biggest city rival Genoa is playing their home games in Stadio Luigi Ferraris as well.
In the past Sampdoria was playing in the Serie B and Serie A on and off. After the big successes in the end of the eighties the club became a stable team in the Serie A. Sampdoria managed to win the Scudetto once in 1991, the Coppa Italia 4 times in 1985, 1988, 1989 and 1994 and the Europe Cup II in 1990.
