All eyes will be on Portman Road when Ipswich Town and Oxford United face each other in the League One round 30. The Tractor Boys failed to impress in a goalless draw with Northampton Town, with the team continuing to struggle at home ground. Ipswich Town recorded only one win in the previous five home games, and it is no wonder the bookies see them as underdogs in Saturday’s clash.
The Yellows, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Bristol Rovers and Wigan Athletic, and seeing that they are only two points behind the playoffs berth, away win should be considered. Born in Waunarlwydd, Wales on March 28, 1991, David Cornell is a goalkeeper who plays for Northampton Town in the League Two. The 180-cm tall shot-stopper is a product of the Swansea City football school, but he did not make any appearances for the Swans at senior level.
Cornell played for the likes of Port Talbot Town, Hereford United, St. Mirren, and Portsmouth on loan before signing a permanent contract with Oldham Athletic in the 2015/2016 season. In the summer of 2016, he joined Northampton Town on a two-year deal.
Speaking of his international career, David Cornell has three caps with the Wales U21 team, but he has yet to earn a call-up for the senior team. The Northampton Town goalkeeper wears the number 1 jersey, and his preferred foot is right. He has a contract with the Cobblers until June 30, 2020.
