Bristol Rovers and Wigan Athletic go head to head at Memorial Stadium in the League One round 31. The Pirates head into the match following a 2-0 loss to Gillingham where they failed to turn their dominance into goals. Bristol Rovers are eager to escape the relegation zone, and it seems as if they will not have a better chance than this to get back on course in the League One.
The Latics, on the other hand, are on a three-game losing run in the English third tier. Wigan Athletic are low on confidence ahead of Tuesday’s clash, and seeing that there are no absentees in the home team, we are tempted to put our money on the Pirates. Tom Pearce is ruled out for the rest of the season for the visiting team, while Matthew Palmer is rated doubtful for the midweek showdown.

Mark Little is a right back who plays for Bristol City. Little started his youth career at Wolverhampton Wonderers and he made 27 appearances for the first team as well. He made his Wolves debut on 23 August, 2006 in the League Cup clash against Chesterfield.
After spending two years on loan at Northampton Town, Chesterfield and Peterborough United, he signed a permanent deal with Peterborough on 25 May, 2010. The defender scored three goals in 148 appearances for the ABAX Stadium outfit, but in 2014 turned down a new contract offer. Mark Little joined Bristol City on 1 July, 2014 and he has been playing for the Robins ever since.
The English footballer, who was born on 20 August, 1988 made 23 appearances for Bristol City in the 2015/2016 Championship campaign and he scored one goal for the club. His main position is right back, but he is capable of playing as midfielder as well.

Wigan Athletic are one of the winners of the English FA Cup. The Latics won the prestigious trophy in 2013, with the team upsetting Manchester City in the title game. This is considered the club’s biggest success, but it has to be noted that Wigan played in the UEFA Europa League in the 2013/2014 season.
Wigan have been playing their home games at the DW Stadium since 1999 and they had played at Springfield Park in the past. Chorley are considered Wigan’s fierce rivals, but the two teams last met in 1971, when they competed in the Northern Premier League.
