Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Mapei Stadium – Citta del Tricolore will host Saturday’s clash between Sassuolo and Sampdoria. The Neroverdi proved their worth in the midweek game, with the team coming from behind to beat Milan at Stadio San Siro. Sassuolo are eyeing their fourth consecutive win in the Serie A. Since the Neroverdi are likely to stick to their attacking style of play, we predict that they will find the net in Saturday’s showdown. Filip Djuricic is banned, while Francesco Caputo has yet to recover from his injury.
La Samp, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Verona and Crotone, and given Sassuolo’s shaky defence, we believe that there is a big value in betting on both teams to score. Japan international Maya Yoshida returns from suspension, while all Ekdal, Torregrossa, and Bereszynski are out of contention through injuries. In the first half of the season Sassuolo defeated Sampdoria 3-2.
Highlighted Player (Domenico Berardi):
Once one of the most promising young players in Serie A, Domenico Berardi is the Italian footballer that plays for Sassuolo and the Italy national team. Born in Cairati, Calabria, the forward begun his professional career back in 2012, when he helped the Neroverdi win Serie B and play in Serie A next season and was named as the best player of the competition, only 18 years of age.
He made his first appearance for the Italy U19 national team in the same season. His excellent performances draw the attention of Juventus and the Old Lady confirmed in the beginning of the Season 2013/14 that Domenico Berardi joined the club on a co-ownership deal.
The player never played for Juventus because he remained in Sassuolo and he recently signed a new contract with the Neroverdi. The 24-year-old right winger, who can also play as a left winger and a second striker, made his first appearance in the senior national team in June 2018.

The club colours of Sampdoria are blue and white and is known under the nickname Blucerchiati. Sampdoria host it’s home games in the Stadio Luigi Ferraris which is located in Genua. Interesting detail is that their biggest city rival Genoa is playing their home games in Stadio Luigi Ferraris as well.
In the past Sampdoria was playing in the Serie B and Serie A on and off. After the big successes in the end of the eighties the club became a stable team in the Serie A. Sampdoria managed to win the Scudetto once in 1991, the Coppa Italia 4 times in 1985, 1988, 1989 and 1994 and the Europe Cup II in 1990.
There are a lot of important players in football history that played for Sampdoria such as: Seedorf, Gullit, Mancini, Poli, Vieri, Zenga, Falcone, Karembeu, Vialli, Klinsmann and Veron.
