Buoyed by back-to-back wins over lower-league siders Neustadt (16-0) and MSV 1919 Neuruppin (7-0), Hertha will be looking to give fans yet another reason for celebration when they take on Hannover at Olympiapark Hanns Braun in a warm-up game. The capital club face they first difficult task in preseason on Wednesday, but they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play. Hertha did well to secure the Bundesliga survival in the last season finale, and, as a result, key players are still in the squad.
Die Roten, on the other hand, head into the match following a 1-0 loss to Arminia Bielefeld. The 2. Bundesliga side have been playing some low-scoring games in pre-season, and given their difficulties in front of goal, we believe that punters can find value in betting on Hertha Berlin. This will be the first meeting between the two clubs since April 2019 when they played out a goalless draw.

A product of Freiburg academy, Alexander Schwolow was forced to work for his place under the spotlight and it wasn’t until his loan spell in the Third Division with Armenia Bielefeld in 2014 that Schwolow earned his place between the sticks at his parent club. His stock went through a rapid rise in 2016/17 campaign when Alexander Schwolow played a great part in his team’s seventh-place finish and a place in the UEFA Europa league qualification.
Schwolow’s impressive goalkeeping exploits got his name written in the notebook of some of Europe’s biggest clubs and it is fair to say we could see his move abroad in foreseeable future. Alexander Schwolow represented Germany in U18, U19 and U20 categories but has yet to earn a senior cap.
