Villarreal
All eyes will be on Oliva Nova Golf & Beach Resort Campo 1 when Valencia and Villarreal face each other in a pre-season friendly. Valencia chiefs did well to sign the likes of Patrick Cutrone, Ferro, and Christian Oliva on loan in the summer transfer window, but los Che are no longer regarded as one of the teams to beat in La Liga. Pacey winger Denis Cheryshev, who missed the EURO 2021 with injury, remains on the sidelines for the nominal hosts.
The Yellow Submarine, on the other hand, did remarkably well to win the Europa League final last term, with the team beating Manchester United in the decider. Unai Emery’s troops are ready for the new season, and seeing that they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play, we are tempted to put our money on over 2.5 goals. Anyhow, Villarreal are more of a team than Valencia.
Highlighted Player (Denis Cheryshev):
Probably the most famous Russian footballer never to have played for a domestic club, Denis Cheryshev was born in Nizhny Novgorod, but began his career at Sporting Gijon as his father played for the Spanish side at the time.
The talented winger eventually caught the eye of Real Madrid and went on to spend eight years in the youth academy at Santiago Bernabeu before he was given a chance to impress on senior level. Due to a fierce competition for places in Madrid, Cheryshev was forced to gain much needed first team experience via loan spells at Sevilla, Villarreal and Valencia, and he showed a great deal of potential during those stints, proving los Blancos were wrong to let him leave.
Chersyhev has been in and out of the Russia national team since making his debut in 2012, but there is a good chance he will become an important member of Sbornaya Komanda as soon as he secures regular playing time at club level. The Russian footballer is capable of operating on either wing or through the middle, and he has proved to be quite prolific in terms of both goals and assists.

Villarreal CF was founded on 10th of March 1923. In the year 1998 Villarreal managed to reach the Primera Division for the first time in history of the club. After 1 season the club could not manage to stay in the league and go regulated to the Segunda Division. In the last couple of years Villarreal developed itself to a stable club in the Primera Division.
This first European succes was in 2003/2004 where the club managed to reach the semi finals in the UEFA cup. In 2004/2005 Villarreal end 3rd on the table in the Primera Division which was a highlight for the club.
The biggest succes was in 2006 when Villarreal managed to reach the semi finals in the Champions League. In the semi finals the club lost with only 1 goal difference against runner up Arsenal. Former known players for Villarreal are: Riquelme, Tomasson, Fernandez, Forlan and Pires.
