After rolling over Bath City 5-0 in their first warm-up game, Cardiff City will be looking to give fans yet another reason for celebration when they take on Cambridge United on Saturday afternoon. The Bluebirds impressed in the triumph over Jeremy Gill’s troops, with new signing James Collins scoring a brace on his Cardiff City debut. The Championship side are likely to adopt yet another attack-minded approach against Cambridge United, and we predict that Mick McCarthy’s troops are going to prove their worth on the field.
The U’s, on the other hand, did remarkably well to secure promotion to the League One. Mark Bonner’s men can’t wait for the new season to start, but they will have a big fish to fry in Saturday’s friendly against Cardiff City. In their last meeting Cardiff City defeated Cambridge United 2-0 (February 2002), and we predict that the history will repeat itself.

After ending his loan spells with German sides Paderborn and St. Pauli Junior Hoilett returned to Blackburn Rovers and it has to be noted that he scored his first goal for the Riversiders in a pre-season friendly against Leigh Genesis.
Speaking of competitive games, the Canada international netted his first goal for Blackburn in a 3-1 League Cup victory over Gillingham. In 2012 the pacey winger joined Queens Park Rangers and he played for the capital club from 2012 to 2016. In October 2016 Junior Hoilett signed a deal with Cardiff City and he made his debut for the Championship side on October 14 against Bristol City.
Hoilett was born in Brampton, Ontario and, as a result, he represents Canada on the international stage. He made his Canada debut in a 1-1 draw with Ghana in an international friendly.
