After losing to Bury Town on penalties in their last warm-up game, Ipswich Town will look to get back on course in pre-season when they face Stevenage at Bragbury End Sports Ground. The Tractor Boys kicked off pre-season with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Dartford, but they were anything but impressive in their second outing. Since head coach Paul Cook is likely to use Tuesday’s friendly to test as many players as possible, away win should not be considered.
The Boro, on the other hand, aim to make amends for a 1-0 loss to Wycombe. After ending his loan spells with Livingston and St. Mirren, the Scottish footballer joined Swindon Town in 2009 where he quickly established himself as a first-team regular. After scoring five goals in 80 appearances for the club, Scott Cuthbert moved to Leyton Orient before the start of the 2011/12 season.
After almost a five-year spell with the Brisbane Road outfit, the right-footed defender joined Stevenage in the summer of 2018, and he has been playing for the Posh ever since. He made his Stevenage debut in a 2-2 draw with Tranmere Rovers in the 2018/19 season opener. At the end of the campaign the Scottish footballer was named the club’s Player of the Year.
