Our prediction for this Bundesliga match:
Eintracht Frankfurt will look to make amends for a 5-2 loss at Borussia Dortmund when they take on Augsburg in their first home game of the season. Die Adler continue life without top scorer from the last season Andre Silva, and, in his absence, summer signing Rafael Borre is widely expected to lead the line for the hosts.
Norway rising star Jens Hauge, who scored on his Bundesliga debut at the weekend, is pushing for a start, while Sebastian Rode and Almamy Toure remain in the recovery room. The Bavarians, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 4-0 loss to Hoffenheim, and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Eintracht’s party at Deutsche Bank Park. All Finnbogason, Cordova, Strobl, and Oxford are injured for the visitors.
Highlighted Player (Timothy Chandler):
Timothy Chandler is a professional footballer, who started his senior career at Eintracht Frankfurt reserve team. In 2010 he signed for Nurnberg and he made 17 appearances for the reserve team. After playing 95 league games for Nurnberg he returned to Eintracht Frankfurt on 3 June, 2014, signing a three-year contract with his former club.
Chandler was born in Frankfurt on 29 March, 1990, but seeing that his father is American, the defender decided to play for the USA national football team. Chandler made his USA debut on March, 2011, coming as a substitute in a 1-1 draw with Argentina.
The Freiburg defender made USA 2014 World Cup squad, but he did not play for the Yanks at the showpiece tournament in Brazil. It has to be noted that Chandler made 10 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt in the 2015/2016 Bundesliga campaign. His main position is right back, but he is capable of playing as a right midfielder and a right winger as well.
Highlighted Team (Augsburg):
Augsburg are a German football club founded in Augsburg, Bavaria back in 1907. Die Fuggerstadter play in German Bundesliga and with 12,200 members they are regarded as the largest football club in Bavaria. Augsburg wear white shirts and they host their rivals at WWK ARENA.
The capacity of the stadium is 30,660 and it has been the home of Augsburg since 2009. Augsburg won the Schwaben Cup 13 times and it has to be noted that they were promoted to the Bundesliga for the first time in 2011.
The club qualified for the Europa League 2015/2016 group stages and thanks to a 3-1 win over Partizan in Belgrade they booked their place in the last 32. However, Liverpool proved to be a big catch for the German outfit in the Europa League knockout stages.
Die Fuggerstadter’s main rivals are TSV 1860 Munich and there have always been fireworks when the two teams take on each other.
