Our prediction for this Europa Conference League match:
Sivasspor and Copenhagen face each other at Yeni 4 Eylul Stadyumu in what is expected to be a very exciting Conference League qualifier. Sivasspor booked their place in the playoffs by beating Dinamo Batumi after extra-time, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in Thursday’s football match. Spanish midfielder Jorge Felix, who scored the winner in the previous qualifying game, is pushing for a start.
The Danish outfit, on the other hand, have been scoring goals for fun at the start of the season. Copenhagen are eyeing their fourth consecutive win in all competitions, and seeing that Sivasspor are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we believe that there is a big value in betting on both teams to score. Bryan Oviedo remains in the recovery room for the visiting team.
Highlighted Player (Mamadou Samassa):
Mamadou Samassa is a goalkeeper who plays for Troyes in Ligue 1. Samassa was born in Montreuil, France on February 16, 1990 and he played for France U18, U19 and U20 teams in the past. However, thanks to his dual citizenship the 197-cm-tall shoot-stopper represents Mali at senior level and he made his debut for the Malian national team on January 20, 2013 in a 1-0 victory over Niger.
Speaking of his club career, Mamadou Samassa played for youth teams of Collinee-Le Gouray and PEF Pioufragan before joining Guingamp in 2013.
After playing 126 league games for the Guingamp first team, Samassa moved to Troyes in the summer of 2016. The Malian goalkeeper managed to keep 13 clean sheets in 37 appearances for Troyes in the 2016/2017 Ligue 2 campaign. It has to be noted that Mamadou Samassa won the 2013/2014 French Cup with Guingamp, with the Ligue 1 side beating Rennes in the title game. The Troyes shoot-stopper has a contract with the Stade de l’Aube outfit which expires on June 30, 2019.
Highlighted Team (FC Copenhagen):
The most successful club in the history of Danish football FC Kopenhagen was founded in 1992, through the merger of 15-time Danish champions Kjobenhavns Boldklub and seven-time champions of Denmark Boldklubben 1903. Football Club Copenhagen play their matches at the Telia Parken, a venue that can host 38,000 spectators.
The Team of the City as Copenhagen is called in Denmark has won the Danish football championship eleven times, while it has also won the Danish Cup on seven occasions. The club forms great rivalry with Copenhagen’s suburban club Brondby IF with games between the two club attracting some of the biggest crowds in Danish football history in this so called New Firm derby.
Through its history F.C. Copenhagen have participated in the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Champions League, while their major European accomplishments have been achieved in the Royal League, with the Danish powerhouse winning two titles and coming as runners-up on one occasion.
