Metz and Troyes square off against each other at Stade Municipal Saint-Symphorien in what is expected to be a close Ligue 1 encounter. Les Grenats aim to put an end to their four-match winless run, and it seems as if they will not have a better chance than this to record their first win of the season. Even though Thomas Delaine, Kevin N’Doram, Farid Boulaya, Opa Nguette, and Manuel Cabit are sidelined with injuries, home win should be considered as Metz’s displays are much better than the results.
The visitors, on the other hand, have already suffered three defeats in the new Ligue 1 campaign, which is yet another reason why home win should be considered. All Youssouf Kone, Metinho, Yasser Larouci, and Hyun-Jun Suk are likely to miss the game with injuries for the visiting team.

After spending his youth career at Mantes and Valenciennes, Opa Nguette made his senior debut for Mantes in 2011. In 2012 he returned to his boyhood club Valenciennes and it has to be noted that the attacker scored 8 goals in 60 appearances for the club from 2012 to 2016.
Opa Nguette is currently playing for Metz in Ligue 1 and his contract with the club expires on June 30, 2019. The pacey footballer who is capable of playing as both left and right winger has three caps for France U20 team, but he made his senior debut with Senegal. Opa Nguette played 65 minutes in a 1-1 draw with Nigeria on his debut for the Senegal national team.
The Caen attacker, who was born in Mantes-la-Jolie on July 8, 1994, scored four goals for Metz in the 2016/2017 Ligue 1 campaign. He made three assists for his teammates as well during the season and you should bear in mind that he played 33 games in the league for les Grenats.

Founded in 1986, Troyes are considered one of the youngest clubs in French Ligue 1. Troyes returned to the top flight at the end of the 2016/2017 season, with the team finishing the regular season in third place in the Ligue 2 standings. Jean Louis Garcia’s men proved their worth in the promotion play-offs, with the team beating Lorient in the two-legged tie.
Troyes are well known for their blue shirts, but they wear white when playing on the travels. Stade de l’Aube is the club’s home ground and the stadium can hold up to 20.400 spectators. The venue was built in 1924, but it was renovated on two occasions (1956, 2004). The club have yet to win the Ligue 1 trophy, but in 1956 they made it to the French Cup final.
Troyes faced Sedan in the title game and they were totally outplayed by Louis Dugauguez’s troops (3-1) at Stade Olympique Yves-du-Manoir. Roger Courtois’ team were three goals down after 57 minutes, but five minutes later Fernand De Vlaeminck scored a consolation goal for the Stade de l’Aube outfit.
