Our prediction for this Serie A match:
All eyes will be on Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi when Verona and Roma go head to head in the Serie A round 4. The Mastini made a slow start to the season, with the team losing each of their first three league games, and, no doubt, they are low on confidence following Monday’s defeat at Bologna. All Casale, Miguel Veloso, and Tameze are sidelined with injuries, while Ruegg and Frabotta are rated doubtful for the match.
The Giallorossi, on the other hand, aim to keep their 100% record under Jose Mourinho intact. Given Verona’s poor form at the start of the season, we believe that away win should be considered. Wing-bank Spinazzola remains the only absentee in the away side, which is yet another reason why we are tempted to put our money on Jose Mourinho’s charges. In their last meeting in the Italian top flight Roma defeated Verona 3-1.
Highlighted Player (Kevin Ruegg):
Kevin Ruegg is a FC Zurich product. Ruegg was born in Uster, Switzerland on August 5, 1998 and he made his senior debut with FC Zurich on February 26 in a 4-1 win over Wohlen. The Swiss footballer made only nine appearances for der Stadtclub in the Challenge League, but he established himself as a first-team regular in the 2017/2018 Super League campaign.
Kevin Ruegg made 31 appearances for FC Zurich in the Swiss top flight, providing three assists for his teammates in the process. His main position is full-back, but he is used as defensive midfielder and central midfielder as well.
The 173-cm tall footballer wears No. 22 jersey at FC Zurich and his preferred foot is right. Kevin Ruegg has four caps for the Switzerland U19 team and he made his debut for the Switzerland U21 team on September 5, 2017 in a 1-1 draw with Romania in the Euro U21 qualifiers.
Highlighted Team (AS Roma):
AS Roma is a professional football club based in Rome. Roma were founded by a merger in 1927 and they play in the Italian Serie A. Roma’s fiercest rivals are Lazio and it has to be noted that both capital clubs play their home games at Stadio Olimpico. The two local rivals face each other in the Derby della Capitale, which is considered one of the most exciting derbies in the world of football.
The Giallorossi (The Yellow and Reds) have won three Serie A titles (1941/1942, 1982/1983, 2000/2001), while winning nine Coppa Italia trophies. The colour of Roma’s shirts is imperial purple with a golden yellow trim. A number of top-class footballers were part of Roma in the past, but Francesco Totti is undisputedly the club’s biggest legend. The Prince of Rom made his 601 appearances for Roma on 14 May, 2016 when the Giallorossi recorded a 3-1 win over Milan at Stadio San Siro.
