Our prediction for this Serie A match:
After sharing the spoils with Milan in the Serie A derby, Juventus will be aiming to return to winning ways when they take on Spezia at Stadio Alberto Pico. Massimiliano Alegri’s troops have yet to find their best form in the new Serie A campaign, but the midweek clash could be the turning point for Federico Chiesa and Co. Talented attacker Moise Kean could sneak into the starting XI, while all Arthur, Kaio Jorge, and Nicolussi Caviglia are sidelined with injuries.
Spezia, on the other hand, climbed to 13th position in the standings thanks to a hard-fought 2-1 win over Venezia. Thiago Motta’s troops aim to give fans yet another reason for celebration, but seeing that the visitors want this win more than the hosts, we predict that Juve will pick up all three points from the match. Croatia defender Martin Erlic, who limped off with injury at the weekend, is unlikely to feature against Juventus.
Highlighted Player (Luca Mora):
Luca Mora began his senior career at Castellarano (2007-2009) and in 2009 he moved to fellow lower-league club Crociati Noceto. Two years later he signed for Pro Patria and after making 32 appearances in the league for the club, Mora joined Alessandria.
The Italian midfielder, who was born in Parma on May 10, 1988, quickly established himself as a first team regular at the club and you should know that he scored six goals in 86 appearances in the league for L’ Orso. In 2015 he moved to SPAL and he has been playing for the Biancazzurri ever since.
Luca Mora scored seven goals, while providing three assists for his team mates in 35 appearances for SPAL in the 2016/2017 season. Mora’s main position is central midfield, but he plays as a left midfielder as well. His contract with SPAL, who will compete in the Serie A in the 2017/2018 season, expires on June 30, 2020.
Highlighted Team (Juventus):
Juventus are considered one of the greatest European football clubs. The Bianconeri (The White and Blacks) have won two Champions League trophies (1985, 1996) and they did well to clinch three UEFA Cup titles (1977, 1990, 1993). The Italian giants have won 32 Serie A trophies and it is well known that a number of star players were part of Juve in the past.
The likes of Alessandro Del Piero, Zinedine Zidane, Michel Platini, Lilian Thuram, Filippo Inzaghi, Pavel Nedved and David Trezeguet all played for Juventus, whilst legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has yet to retire. Juve were stripped two domestic trophies during the “Calciopoli” scandal, but despite being relegated to Serie B, the club quickly brought glory days back to Turin. The Bianconeri used to play their home games at Stadio delle Alpi, but nowadays they welcome their rivals at Juventus Stadium.
The capacity of the stadium is 41,475. La Vechhia Signora (The Old Lady) is yet another nickname of the club. Juve’s biggest rivals are Torino and the two local rivals take on each other in the Turin derby.
