Serbia will be aiming to put an extra pressure on Group A leaders Portugal when they take on Luxembourg at Stade de Luxembourg. The Eagles have been producing fine displays under Dragan Stojkovic, but they were more than unfortunate not to beat Republic of Ireland in Dublin in their last group game, with Nikola Milenkovic scoring a late own-goal. The Serbs aim overtake Portugal in top position, and we are positive that they will go all guns blazing at Luxembourg.
Since Dragan Stojkovic can count on key players for Saturday’s clash, away win should be considered. Luxembourg, on the other hand, failed to impress in the 4-1 loss to Serbia in Belgrade, which is yet another reason why we are tempted to put our money on the Serbs. The bad news for the hosts is that key attacker Gerson Rodrigues misses the match through suspension.
Highlighted Player (Dave Turpel):
Born in Luxembourg on October 19, 1992, David Turpel is a striker who plays for F91 Dudelange. Over the years Turpel has established himself as a one of the best attackers in Luxembourg and he is likely to play an important role in Dino Toppmoller’s team in the 2018/2019 Europa League campaign.
David Turpel represents Luxembourg on the international stage and it has to be noted that he scored his first goal for the national team in the Euro 2016 qualifiers. Turpel found the net against Macedonia, but that did not help Luxembourg avoid defeat in Skopje. He scored his second goal for the Luxemborurg national team in a friendly against Albania in June, 2017.
Luxembourg eventually won the match 2-1. His preferred foot is right, whilst his main position is centre-forward. The 188cm-tall striker has 10 caps for Luxembourg U21 team, scoring one goal in the process.

Serbia have been playing as an independent nation since 2006. The Serbs made it to the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals and despite defeating star-studded Germany in the group stages of the showpiece tournament in South Africa, they eventually failed to book their place in the last 16. The Eagles, though, failed to qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil as they experienced all sorts of problems in their qualifying group.
A number of top-class footballers played for Serbia and former Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic is regarded as one of the best players in the history of the Serbian national team. Vidic scored two goals in 56 appearances for Serbia and he announced his retirement from the national team on 24 October, 2011.
The Eagles play their home game at Stadion Rajko Mitic and it has to be noted that they defeated Czech Republic 3-1 in their first international game under the name of Serbia. Serbia play their home games in red shirts and red shorts, while the colour of their away kit is white.
