Our prediction for this World Cup 2026 match:
Egypt will be aiming to build on a 2-0 win over Liberia when they take on Libya in Group F on Friday evening. The Pharaohs aim to overtake Libya in top position, and the good news for the hosts is that Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah returns to the starting XI after missing the September qualifying games due to Covid-19 travel restrictions. Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny made the cut as well, while the likes of Mohamed Sherif and Mohamed Magdy Afsha have been left out of the squad.
Defender Omar Gaber serves a one-match ban. The Libyans, on the other hand, aim to keep their 100% record in Group F intact, but seeing that Mo Salah is back for the hosts, we predict that the visitors will return home empty-handed. You should bear in mind that Egypt emerged triumphant in each of the previous four meetings with Libya.
Highlighted Player (Mahmoud Hassan):

The Anderlecht midfielder, who is commonly known as “Trezeguet”, won the CAF Champions League trophy with Al Ahly on two occasions (2012, 2013) and he clinched the Afirca U20 Cup of Nations in 2013 with Egypt. “Trezeguet” has 19 caps for Egypt U20 team and he made his debut for the first team on 30 August, 2014 in a 1-0 win over Kenya.
