St. James’ Park will host Saturday’s clash between Newcastle United and Chelsea, the two teams with entirely different ambitions in the 2021/2022 Premier League season. The Magpies’ main goal is to secure the elite survival, while the Blues are eyeing EPL title. Newcastle new management will be very active in the January transfer window, but the current squad must give 100% to escape the relegation zone.
Both Dummett and Dubravka remain in the recovery room, and they should be the only absentees in the home team. Thomas Tuchel’s troops, on the other hand, rolled over Norwich City 7-0 in their last league match to retain top position in the standings. Even though all Pulisic, Lukaku, and Werner remain in the recovery room, we are tempted to put our money on Chelsea as they are more of a team than Newcastle.
Highlighted Player (Paul Dummet):
Paul Dummett is a product of Newcastle United’s youth school. His main position is left back, but he is capable of playing as a centre back as well. The defender was born on 26 September, 1991 and he played for the likes of Gateshead and St. Mirren on loan in the past.
Dummett returned to Newcastle United in 2013 and he featured in 18 games for the Magpies in the 2013/2014 Premier League campaign. On the last day of the season, he made a hard tackle on Liverpool attacker Luis Suarez and, in turn received death threats from Uruguay fans on Twitter. The Newcastle United defender scored one goal in 23 appearances for the club in the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign, but he did not help the St. James’ Park outfit avoid relegation to the Championship.
Paul Dummett plays for Wales and he made his debut for the Dragons on June, 2014 against Netherlands. It has to be noted that Dummett won the Scottish League Cup with St. Mirren in the 2012/2013 season.

Over the years Chelsea have established themselves as one of the dominant forces in the English Premier League. Roberto Di Matteo helped the team win their first ever Champions League trophy (2011/2012), but it has to be noted that they were more than fortunate to beat Bayern Munich in the title game.
Chelsea have been playing at Stamford Bridge since 1876 and they are a real force to be reckoned with at home. The Blues have won seven FA Cups, five League Cups, two UEFA Cup Winners’ Cups and the UEFA Europa League. Rafael Benitez was in charge of the team that faced Benfica in the 2012/2013 Europa League final, with Branislav Ivanovic scoring the winner for the Blues in the title clash.
After lifting the 2014/2015 Premier League trophy, the Blues largely struggled in the next campaign, which saw Jose Mourinho’s second spell with the club come to an end, and Antoine Conte went over to take the reigns for the 2016/2017 season.
