Our prediction for this Championship match:
All eyes will be on Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium when QPR and Nottingham Forest face each other in the opening match of day 15. The Hoops aim to make amends for the EFL Cup defeat to Sunderland, and, no doubt, head coach Mark Warburton is going to field the best possible side this time out. Charlie Austin returns to the starting XI, while all Field, Owens, and Wallace are likely to miss the game with injuries.
The Reds, on the other hand, suffered a heavy 4-0 loss to Fulham in their last league match. The Cottagers put an end to Forest’s four-match winning run in the Championship, and, no doubt, the visitors are eager to get back on course. Since the Reds will go for a win in Friday’s clash as well, we believe that there is a big value in betting on both teams to score. Both Loic Mbe Soh and Jordi Osei-Tutu remain on the sidelines with injuries.
Highlighted Player (Tom Carroll):
Tom Carroll is a professional English footballer who plays for Swansea City as a midfielder. The 177-cm tall is a product of Tottenham football academy and it has to be noted that he made 27 appearances for Spurs at senior level, scoring one goal. He found the net in a 3-0 win over Norwich City in the 2015/2016 season.
After ending his loan spells with the likes of Leyton Orient, Derby County and Queens Park Rangers, Tom Carroll signed a permanent deal with the Swans in the winter of 2017. Tom Carroll has 17 caps for England U21 team, but he has yet to make his debut for the senior team.
His main position is central midfield, but he is capable of playing as both left and right midfielder as well. Tom Carroll’s preferred foot is left and his contract with the Welsh outfit should expire on June 30, 2020.
Highlighted Team (Nottingham Forest):
Nottingham Forest, the club that are often referred to as Forest, were formed in 1865. They have been playing their home games at the City Ground since 1898 and the capacity of the stadium is 30,445. Nottingham Forest are regarded as one of the greatest English clubs as they won the European Cup on two occasions. In 1979 Forest outplayed Malmo (1-0) at the Olympiastadion in Munich in the final of the elite competition, with the team beating Hamburg in 1980 in the title game at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu (1-0).
Nottingham Forest won the national championship in the 1977/1978 season, with the team finishing the campaign seven points clear of second-placed Liverpool. To make things even better for the fans, the City Ground outfit clinched the FA Cup trophies in 1898 and 1959. Derby County are regarded as Forest’s bitterest rivals and the two local rivals contest in the East Midlands derby. In their first ever meeting in the local derby Forest recorded a 3-2 win over Derby County.
