Our prediction for this Serie A match:
After suffering a 1-0 loss to Lazio at Stadio Olimpico, Fiorentina will be aiming to get back on course when they take on Spezia in the Serie A round 11. The Viola did well to crush Cagliari 3-0 in their last home game, which is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of the visit of Spezia. Despite failing to find the net in the midweek defeat, Dusan Vlahovic should continue to lead the line for the hosts, while both Dragowski and Pulgar are sidelined with injuries.
The Bianconeri, on the other hand, shared the spoils with Genoa in their last league match. Spezia are determined to escape the danger zone, but given their anything but good away record in the Serie A, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the home team. All Bourabia, Sher, Kiwior, Agudelo, Nguiamba, Erlic, and Leo’Sena should miss out with injuries for the away side.
Highlighted Player (Erick Pulgar):
Eric Pulgar is a Chilean international who started his senior career at Deportes Antofagasta. Pulgar is a 186-cm-tall midfielder, who is capable of playing as a centre back as well and he is well known for his speed. After making 38 league appearances for the club he joined fellow Chilean outfit Universidad Catolica in 2014.
The deal was confirmed on 28 June, 2014 and the Chilean defender joined los Cruzados for a fee of $ 500 000. In 2015 he decided to move to Europe and he signed a contract with Bologna for an undisclosed fee. The deal was sealed on 20 August. Erick Pulgar represented Chile at the 2016 Copa America, but he made no more than one appearance for La Roja at the tournament in USA.
He came on as a substitute to replace injured midfielder Pablo Hernandez in a 2-0 win over Colombia. It is well known that Chile won the 2016 Copa America, beating star-studded Argentina in the title game.
Highlighted Team (Spezia):
Spezia is a professional Italian club based in Spezia, Liguria. The Bianconeri secured promotion to the Serie A in the 2019/20 season, with the team beating Frosinone in the Serie B playoffs final. Spezia are well known for their black and white home jerseys, and black is the dominant colour of their away kit.
The club’s home ground Stadio Alberto Picco has the capacity of 10,336 people. The venue was opened back in 1919, with architect Gregotti being in charge of the project. In 2002 the club chiefs decided to reach an agreement with Inter which saw Spezia become Inter’s feeder club.
As a result, the likes of Goran Pandev, Aco Stojkov, and Alex Cordaz joined the Bianconeri in the first season. Spezia then suffered a bankruptcy, but in 2008 they were re-founded. In the 2020/21 season the Bianconeri will compete in the Italian elite division for the first time ever.
