Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Porto will be aiming to build on a routine 4-1 win over Boavista when they take on Santa Clara at Estadio de Sao Miguel on Matchday 11. The Dragons aim to retain top position in the standings, and they are likely to fight tooth and nail against Santa Clara. Evanilson should keep his place up front alongside Taremi after scoring a brace in O Derby da Invicta, while Wendell remains on the sidelines with injury.
Os Acoreanos, on the other hand, are stuck at the bottom of the table, with the team collecting only six points in total from possible 30. The rock-bottom side failed to impress in back-to-back defeats to Famalicao and Belenenses, and given Porto’s five-game winning run in the Portuguese top flight, anything but a routine away win would be a major surprise. In their last meeting at the venue Porto defeated Santa Clara thanks to Luis Diaz’s goal.

Fabio Cardoso is a Portuguese defender who was born in Agueda (Portugal) on April 19, 1994. Cardoso started his youth career at his hometown club Agueda, but in 2008 he continued his development at Benfica. After scoring three goals in 55 appearances for Benfica B, he spent the 2015/2016 season on loan at Pacos Ferreira.
In the summer of 2017, he signed a four-year deal with Vitoria Setubal, but he spent only one season at Estadio do Bonfim. Cardoso joined Scottish club Glasgow Rangers in June 2017, signing a three-year contract with the club for a fee of around £1.3 million.
The Portuguese defender, though, made no more than 12 appearances for the Gers, joining Santa Clara in the summer of 2018. Fabio Cardoso has four caps with the Portugal U20 team, but he has yet to earn a call-up for the senior team. His primary position is a centre-back, but he is often used as a left-back. His preferred foot is right.

Futebol Clube do Porto are one of Portugal’s biggest football clubs playing their matches in front of 50,000 people at their Estadio do Dragao. Porto form biggest rivalries with two other Big Three clubs in Portugal and regular league title contenders – Benfica and Sporting CP. Rivalries between the clubs stem from the historical, political, economical and cultural discrepancies between the cities of Porto and Lisbon. The Dragons, as they are commonly known in Portugal, are the second most successful Portuguese team with a total of 74 trophies to their name.
Porto hold a record of five consecutive league titles which are part of the total tally of 27 Primeira Liga trophies. FC Porto’s success extends to the international scene as well with seven European titles. Two-time European champions from 1987 and 2004, Porto also won two UEFA Cup/Europa League titles, the UEFA Super Cup and the International Cup on two occasions. Together with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United, Porto have the most appearances in the UEFA Champions League group stage – the total of 20.
