Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Stadio Luigi Ferraris will host Sunday’s Serie A game between Genoa and Roma, the two teams who have different ambitions in the 2021/2022 season. The Rossoblu are eager to secure yet another Serie A survival, while Jose Mourinho’s troops are eyeing a place in the Champions League. Genoa have recorded only one win in the new season, and it is no wonder the bookies see them as underdogs in Sunday’s clash.
All Fares, Cassata, Destro, Maksimovic, and Vanheusden are sidelined with injuries, while Kallon is a major doubt, and he will be assessed ahead of the kick-off. The Giallorossi, on the other hand, aim to bounce back from a 3-2 loss to Venezia, and seeing that they will not have a better chance than this to get back on course, we are tempted to put our money on the capital club. All Kumbulla, Spinazzola, Vina, and Calafiori miss out with injuries.
Highlighted Player (Mattia Perin):

The Italian goalkeeper has been playing for Genoa since 2010, but it has to be noted that he spend some time on loan at Padova and Pescara between 2011 and 2013.

Highlighted Team (AS Roma):
AS Roma is a professional football club based in Rome. Roma were founded by a merger in 1927 and they play in the Italian Serie A. Roma’s fiercest rivals are Lazio and it has to be noted that both capital clubs play their home games at Stadio Olimpico. The two local rivals face each other in the Derby della Capitale, which is considered one of the most exciting derbies in the world of football.
The Giallorossi (The Yellow and Reds) have won three Serie A titles (1941/1942, 1982/1983, 2000/2001), while winning nine Coppa Italia trophies. The colour of Roma’s shirts is imperial purple with a golden yellow trim. A number of top-class footballers were part of Roma in the past, but Francesco Totti is undisputedly the club’s biggest legend. The Prince of Rom made his 601 appearances for Roma on 14 May, 2016 when the Giallorossi recorded a 3-1 win over Milan at Stadio San Siro.
