Our prediction for this Championship match:
Select Car Leasing Stadium will host Saturday’s football game between Reading and Nottingham Forest, the two teams who are level on points in the Championship standings. The Royals did well to beat Birmingham before the international break, with the team putting an end to their four-match losing run. Reading aim to keep on climbing the standings, but this will be anything but a walk in the park for the hosts.
All Junior Hoilett, Michael Morrison, Andy Rinomhota, Tom McIntyre, Yakou Meite, and Lucas Joao are all sidelined with injuries. The Reds, on the other hand, aim to build on a 3-0 win over Preston. Nottingham Forest are eyeing a place in the playoffs as well, and seeing that both sides will go for a win in Saturday’s clash, we are tempted to put our money on both teams to score. Both Loic Mbe Soh and Jordi Osei-Tutu miss out through injuries.
Highlighted Player (Andy Yiadom):
Andy Yiadom was born in Holloway, London, but he began his career in the youth team of Watford. After spending two years at the Watford football academy, the pacey full-back (winger) joined Hayes & Yeading United and he scored only one goal in 36 appearances in the league for the club.
At the end of the 2010/2011 campaign Yiadom moved to Braintree Town and after scoring seven goals in 27 appearances for the Iron he signed a contract with Barnet. The 180-cm-tall footballer played for Barnet from 2012 to 2016 and he scored 14 goals in 169 appearances for the Bees. Andy Yiadom then decided to take a step forward in his career as he moved to Championship side Barnsley.
The English footballer played 32 games in the league for the Tykes last season and he provided three assists for his teammates, while receiving four yellow cards. His main position is full-back (right-back), but he is capable of playing on the left flank as well.
Highlighted Team (Nottingham Forest):
Nottingham Forest, the club that are often referred to as Forest, were formed in 1865. They have been playing their home games at the City Ground since 1898 and the capacity of the stadium is 30,445. Nottingham Forest are regarded as one of the greatest English clubs as they won the European Cup on two occasions. In 1979 Forest outplayed Malmo (1-0) at the Olympiastadion in Munich in the final of the elite competition, with the team beating Hamburg in 1980 in the title game at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu (1-0).
Nottingham Forest won the national championship in the 1977/1978 season, with the team finishing the campaign seven points clear of second-placed Liverpool. To make things even better for the fans, the City Ground outfit clinched the FA Cup trophies in 1898 and 1959. Derby County are regarded as Forest’s bitterest rivals and the two local rivals contest in the East Midlands derby. In their first ever meeting in the local derby Forest recorded a 3-2 win over Derby County.
