Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Port Vale will look to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Walsall when they host Hartlepool to their Vale Park on Matchday 19. The Valiants failed to win the previous three league fixtures, but it seems that they will not have a better chance than this to return to winning ways in the League Two. The bad news for the hosts, though, is that important midfielder Tom Conlon misses the match through suspension.
The Pools, on the other hand, are on a four-game losing run ahead of the trip to Stoke on Trent. Hartlepool conceded 13 goals in total in the previous four league fixtures, and we do not believe that they are capable of grabbing something from Saturday’s clash. In their last meeting in a competitive match Port Vale outclassed Hartlepool 4-0, and the history is likely to repeat itself.
