Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Sampdoria will be aiming to build on a 3-1 win over their local rivals Genoa when they host Venezia to their Stadio Luigi Ferraris. La Samp quickly bounced back from a 3-1 loss to Lazio, and they must be high on spirits following the Derby della Lanterna triumph. A man to watch in the home team will be experienced attacker Manolo Gabbiadini, who has found his goal-scoring touch of late, while both Damsgaard and Torregrossa are sidelined with injuries.
The newcomers, on the other hand, did well to hold Juventus to a 1-1 draw at the weekend. Venezia, though, are not regarded as good travelers, and that is the main reason why we are tempted to put our money on Sampdoria. In their last meeting in Genoa Sampdoria defeated Venezia 4-0. The likes of Vacca, Okereke, and Fiordilino should miss out for the visitors.
Highlighted Player (Vasco Regini):
Vasco Regini started his senior career at Cesena, but he made no more than ten appearances for the club (league) from 2007 to 2009. In 2009 he moved to Sampdoria and after ending his loan spells with the likes of Foggia and Empoli he returned to Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
Vasco Regini played for Napoli on loan as well, but he made only one appearance for the Partenopei in the Italian elite division. The Italian footballer, who was born in Cesena on September 9, 1990, has established himself as first-team regular at Sampdoria and you should know that he played 34 games for La Samp in the 2016/2017 Serie A campaign.
Vasco Regini has 4 caps for Italy U20 team and he played for the U20 team in the past as well. His main position is left back, but he is used as both left winger and centre-back as well. The left-footed player has a contract with Sampdoria which expires on June 30, 2021.
