Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
There will be fireworks when Real Oviedo and Almeria face each other at Estadio Nuevo Carlos Tartiere on Matchday 25. Oviedo aim to make amends for a heavy 4-0 loss to Tenerife, and they are likely to fight tooth and nail in Saturday’s clash. All Ahijado, Pombo, and Sanchez are pushing for a start, with Sangalli, Obeng, and Mossa likely to drop to the bench.
The Andalusians, on the other hand, suffered a 2-0 loss to Eibar in their last league match. Umar Sadiq has been sorely missed in recent games, but the team’s top scorer is back from international duty. Considering that Oviedo experienced all sorts of problems at the back in their last league match, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the promotion-chasing visitors. In the first half of the season Almeria defeated Oviedo 2-1.
Highlighted Player (Alejandro Arribas ):
Born in Madrid, Spain on May 1, 1989, Alejandro Arribas is a Spanish footballer who plays for Real Oviedo in La Liga 2. Arribas is a very experienced defender as he played for Primera Division sides Rayo Vallecano, Osasuna, Deportivo La Coruna and Sevilla in the past.
He is a product of Rayo Majadahonda football school, but he did not see any game action with the club at senior level. Alejandro Arribas played for Mexican club UNAM before signing a three-year deal with Real Oviedo in the summer of 2019.
He made his debut with los Azules in a 2-1 loss to Fuenlabrada on August 31, 2019. The towering defender has never received a call-up for the Spain national football team. His main position is centre-back, but he can be used as a right-back as well if needed. The right-footed footballer has a contract with Real Oviedo until June 30, 2021.
Highlighted Team (Almeria):
UD Almeria is a Spanish club based in the autonomous community of Andalusia. Los Rojiblancos are one of the newer additions to the Spanish football system, with the club being founded on July 26, 1989.
Almeria suffered relegation to Segunda Division in the 2014/15 season, and they have been competing in the Spanish second tier ever since. Los Rojiblancos are well known for their white shirts with red stripes, while blue is the dominant colour of their away jersey. Sofiane Feghouli, Felipe Melo, Diego Alves, Veljko Paunovic, Aleix Vidal, Alvaro Negredo, Tomer Hemed, and Mate Bilic are some notable footballers who played for Almeria in the past. Fellow Andalusian clubs Sevilla, Malaga, and Granada are considered the club’s fiercest rivals.
The club’s biggest success in Copa del Rey came in the 2010/11 season when they made it to the semis of the prestigious competition. Nonetheless, Catalan giants Barcelona proved to be a big catch for Almeria in the Spanish Cup semi-finals.
