Our prediction for this Premier League match:
Burnley and Watford face each other at Turf Moor in a postponed Premier League fixture. The Clarets continue life without important attacker Chris Wood, who joined big-spending Newcastle in January, while new signing Wout Weghorst is likely to make his Premier League debut against the Hornets. Josh Brownhill is banned for the match, while Ashley Barnes misses out with injury.
Watford, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-0 loss to Norwich City. The Hornets are stuck in the relegation zone as well, and seeing that they will go for a win in Saturday’s clash, we are tempted to put our money on both teams to score. All Masina, Louza, and Troost-Ekong are back from international duty, while Emmanuel Dennis serves a one-game ban as he was sent off in the last league match.
Highlighted Player (Jay Rodríguez):
Having progressed through the youth ranks of his hometown club Burnley, Jay Rodriguez was rewarded with a professional debut against Bristol City in December 2007 as an 18-year-old boy. It wasn’t until the 2008/09 season when he began to show glimpses of proper promise for the Clarets, however.
With 15 goals and six assists in 37 Championship outings in 2011/12 campaign, Jay Rodriguez caught the eye of several Premier League clubs and it was Southampton who pounced for his signature in a £7 million deal. Six goals and eight assist in his debut Premier League season were followed by a breakthrough record of 15 goals and three assists in 33 matches of the 2013/14 campaign.
An unfortunate cruciate ligament injury sustained in April 2014 halted his progress as he sat through the entire 2014/15 season. It did not prevent West Bromwich Albion from making a move for Rodriguez in 2017, making him the first signing of the summer transfer window, worth a reported £12 million. The WBA forward features only once for England U21 in 2011 and made a single senior appearance – in a 2-0 defeat to Chile in November 2013.
Highlighted Team (Watford):
Watford FC is an English football club founded in 1881 and is playing its home games in the Vicarage Road which holds a capacity of 21 000 seats. Watford managed to promote to the Premier League in 2014/2015 after playing for 8 years in lower football divisions.
The club colors of Watford are yellow and red. The away kit of Watford in the current season is in blue. Watford FC is also known as The Hornets of which their fans are very proud of.
Watford FC never won any title in the clubs history. In the season 1983/1984 Watford managed to qualify for the UEFA Cup (former Europa League) where the club got knocked out in the best of 16 round after playing against Sparta Praha. Watford FC is a stereotype UK football club where working hard is more important than talent.
