Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Dacia Arena will host Sunday’s football game between Udinese and Lazio. The Zebrette are determined to move away from the danger zone, but their display in a 4-0 loss to Verona is not giving fans a reason for optimism. Gabriele Cioffi should opt to make changes to the starting XI, with both Arslan and Beto pushing for a start. The likes of Nuytinck and Udogie are rated doubtful for the game, and the duo will be assessed ahead of the kick-off.
The Biancocelesti, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Fiorentina and Bologna. Lazio are eager to keep their Champions League hopes alive, and they should take advantage of Udinese’s shaky defence. Both Lucas Leiva and Luis Alberto are banned for the match, while Lazzari and Acerbi should miss out with injuries. In the first half of the season the two sides played out a thrilling 4-4 draw in “The Eternal City”.
Highlighted Player (Nicolas Andrade):
Nicolas Andrade is a Brazilian goalkeeper who plays for Hellas Verona in Serie A. Nicolas was born in Colorado de Oeste on April 12, 1988 and he is a product of Atletico Mineiro youth school. The 190-cm-tall shot-stopper played for the likes of Villa Nova, Tombense and Anapolina in Brazil before joining Italian side Hellas Verona in 2010.
In 2014 he was sent on loan to Virtus Lanciano and he made 35 appearances in the league for the club. At the end of the 2014/2015 season the Brazilian goalkeeper signed a loan deal with Trapani, but he eventually returned to the “City of Love”. Nicolas managed to keep no less than 17 clean sheets in 42 appearances for Hellas Verona in the 2016/2017 Serie B campaign.
He has established himself as a first-choice goalkeeper at Verona, but he has yet to earn a call-up for the Brazil national football team. His contract with the Mastini should expire on June 30, 2019.
Highlighted Team (Lazio):
Lazio Roma are an Italian football club based in Rome. Lazio were founded in 1900 and they compete in the Serie A. The Biancocelesti (The White and Sky Blues) have won two Serie A trophies (1973/1974, 1999/2000), while lifting six Coppa Italia titles.
The capital club play their home games at Stadio Olimpico and Roma are regarded as Lazio’s main rivals.
The two teams face each other in the Derby della Capitale and it is considered the fiercest inter-city derby in Italy. Lazio won UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup in 1999, with the team beating Mallorca in the title game. The same year they managed to clinch the UEFA Super Cup trophy as they outplayed English giants Manchester United at Stade Louis II, Monaco.
The likes of Pavel Nedved, Giuseppe Favalli, Juan Sebastian Veron, Sinisa Mihajlovic, Roberto Mancini, Giuseppe Signori, Miroslav Klose and Simone Inzaghi are notable footballers who played for Lazio in the past.
