Our prediction for this Championship match:
Sheffield United will look to move closer to the playoffs berth when they take on Hull City in a postponed Championship game at Bramall Lane. The Blades have been in a fine form in 2022, and, as a result, the bookies see them as favourites to win the midweek clash. Both Oliver Norwood and Iliman Ndiaye should be recalled to the starting XI, while both David McGoldrick and Rhian Brewster are out of contention with injuries.
The Tigers, on the other hand, aim to make amends for a 1-0 loss to Fulham. Hull City are on a three-game losing run in the Championship, and given United’s fine form, we predict that the visitors are going to return to winning ways empty-handed. Both Tom Eaves and Allahyar Sayyadmanesh are back from injuries for the visiting side, while Greg Docherty should return Regan Slater in the starting line-up.
Highlighted Player (Ben Osborn):
Ben Osborn is an English footballer who plays for Nottingham Forest as a midfielder. Osborn was born in Derby (England) on August 5, 1994 and he started his youth career at his hometown club Derby County. In 2003 he moved to Nottingham Forest and after spending ten years at their football academy Osborn made his first-team debut for the Reds.
He made his debut on March 29, 2014 in a 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town and he has been playing for the City Ground Stadium outfit ever since. Ben Osborn has one cap for England U20 team and he played for England U19 and England U18 teams in the past as well.
It has to be noted that the Nottingham Forest midfielder scored four goals, while providing seven assists for his teammates in the 2016/2017 Championship season. His main position is left midfield, but he is capable of playing as both central and attacking midfielder as well. Ben Osborn’s preferred foot is left.
Highlighted Team (Hull City):
Hull City are a professional football club that was founded back in 1904. The Tigers used to play their home games at Boothferry Park, but they moved to the KC Stadium in 2002. The stadium capacity is 24,450.
Hull impressed in the 2015/2016 Championship campaign and, as a result, they returned to the English Premier League. Hull City fans consider Leeds United their main rivals, but Sheffield United are regarded as Hull’s fierce rivals as well. Steve Bruce took over the reins at the club in 2012 and the experienced tactician helped the team book a place in the 2013/2014 FA Cup final, but Arsenal proved to be a big catch for the Tigers in the title decider.
Hull City finished the 2013/2014 Premier League campaign in 16th place in the standings to achieve their highest ever top flight finish. It has to be noted that Curtis Davies was named the team’s player of the year in the 2013/2014 season.
