Sunday’s football game between West Ham United and Wolverhampton will bring down the curtain on the Premier League Matchday 27. The Hammers dropped two points in a 1-1 draw with Newcastle United, but they are still in the Champions League race. David Moyes’ troops aim to return to winning ways as soon as possible, but beating the Wolves is easier said than done.
Both Ogbonna and Masuaku are sidelined with injuries, while fellow defender Coufal should be fit for the match. Wolverhampton, on the other hand, aim to climb to the Europa League berth. Anyhow, the share of spoils is on the cards as the two teams seem to be evenly matched at the moment. Bruno Lage should have a full squad to choose from. In the first half of the season Wolverhampton defeated West Ham United thanks to Raul Jimenez’s goal.
Highlighted Player (Andriy Yarmolenko):
Arguably the most exciting Ukrainian player at the moment, Andriy Yarmolenko is the 26-year-old forward, who can play wide as a winger and fill in numerous positions in attack. Over the past few years there has been a gathering feeling that the player has outgrown the Ukrainian League and that with the player surpassing the 200-game mark for Dynamo Kyiv Yarmolenko should be heading west to Europe’s brighter stage.
Wanted and scouted by Spanish giants Barcelona, Yarmolenko attracted interest from many other clubs, predominantly from the Premier League, and was even close to joining Everton in summer 2016, but the Goodison outfit’s offer came too late to the Ukrainian club.
Talented forward is a free-scoring machine who has already scored more than 115 goals for the club he spent his entire career with. The two-footed winger is equally adept through the middle and is a versatile force that would be a good addition to any self-respecting European side.
Yarmolenko made hi Ukraine debut in 2009 and has so far been capped 63 times, during which he scored 26 goals for the national set-up.

Wolverhampton are a club that was originally known as St. Luke’s FC. The Wolves play in the Championship and they were founded in 1877. Molineux is the home ground of Wolverhampton and the capacity of the stadium is 31,700. Wolverhampton have won four FA Cup trophies (1893, 1908, 1949, 1960), with the team lifting the League Cup trophy in 1974 and 1980.
The colour of the club’s shirts is orange and they wear black shorts. The Wolves wear blue jerseys when playing away from home. Wolverhampton’s main rivals are West Bromwich Albion and they have been facing each other in the Black Country derby since 1888. In their first meeting in the local derby WBA recorded a 1-0 win over Wolves.
