Cambridge United will look to make amends for back-to-back losses to Oxford United and Wycombe Wanderers when they face Shrewsbury Town on Matchday 37. The U’s are stuck in the middle of the table, and, as things stand now, they will find it hard to secure their place in the playoffs. Mark Bonner should opt to make changes to the team that suffered the midweek loss, with all Ironside, Lankester, and Tolaj pushing for a start.
The Shrews, on the other hand, are seven points clear of the relegation zone. The visitors did well to share the spoils with leaders Rotherham at the weekend, and they are surely capable of holding Cambridge to a draw at Abbey Stadium. Steve Cotterill should have a full squad to choose from, while Gambia international Saikou Janneh is pushing for a rare start.

Born in Cambridge, England on July 31, 1993, Liam O’Neil is an English footballer who plays as both defender as midfielder for Cambridge United in the League Two. O’Neil is a product of the Cambridge United football school, but he played for Histon during his youth career as well.
In the summer of 2012 he joined WBA youth academy, and it has to be noted that he made three appearances for the Baggies at senior level in all competitions. Liam O’Neil played for the likes of VPS and Scunthorpe United on loan as well before joining Chesterfield in 2015.
After scoring two goals in 45 appearances for the club in the league, O’Neil moved to Cambridge United in the winter of 2017. As his mother comes from Wales, O’Neil is open to play for the Wales national team, but he has yet to earn a cap with the Dragons.
