Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
There will be fireworks when Real Valladolid and Las Palmas go head to head at Estadio Jose Zorrilla on Matchday 32. La Pucela aim to make amends for a heavy 3-0 loss to Real Oviedo, and they are likely to go all guns blazing at La Union Deportiva. Real Valladolid are a real force to be reckoned with at home, but keep in mind that defender Raul Garcia is sidelined through suspension. Nacho is widely expected to return to the starting XI.
Las Palmas, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-1 loss to Girona. Since La Union Deportiva are not regarded as good travelers, we are tempted to put our money on Valladolid, who are eyeing their 12th home win of the process. To make things even worse for the visiting side, both Raul Navas and Rafa Mujica are banned for the match.
Highlighted Player (Shon Weissman):
After spending his youth career Maccabi Haifa, Shon Weissman continued wearing the green and white shirt at senior level. The 174-tall forward scored 8 goals in 32 appearances in the league for the Greens before joining Wolfsberger in 2019.
It has to be noted, though, that he played for the likes of Hapoel Acre, Maccabi Netanya and Ironi Kiryat Shmona on loan as well from 2015 to 2018. Born in Haifa on February 14, 1996 the Israeli footballer has yet to make his senior debut with the Israel national team, but he has two caps with the U21 team. Speaking of his career at Wolfsberger, Shon Weissman made his Austrian Bundesliga debut on July 27, 2019 in a 3-0 win at Admira.
Weissman opened his goal-scoring account on the same day, finding the net twice in the BSFZ-Arena clash. His main position is centre-forward, but he is capable of playing as both second striker and right winger as well.
Highlighted Team (Las Palmas):
Las Palmas are a Spanish football club based in the Canary Islands. The club was founded on 22 August, 1949. Los Amarillos play in Spanish La Liga and the team’s home ground is Estadio Gran Canaria. The stadium was opened in 2003 and it’s current capacity is 32,150. Miguel Angel Ramirez is the club’s chairman and the club’s main rivals are Tenerife.
Las Palmas impressed in the 2015/2016 La liga campaign, with the team finishing the season in 11th place in the standings. However, it has to be noted that los Amarillos finished the 1968/1969 Primera Division campaign in second place in the table, 11 points behind Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Speaking of Copa del Rey, Las Palmas made it to the final of the Spanish Cup in 1978. Las Palmas eliminated Sporting Gijon in the semis (5-3), but Barcelona outplayed los Amarillos in the title game (3-1).
