Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Wycombe Wanderers and Doncaster Rovers square off against each other at Adams Park in the League One round 41. The Chairboys aim to move closer to the playoffs berth, and they will not have a better chance than this to return to winning ways. Since there are no fresh injury worries in the home team, we believe that punters from all around the globe can find value in betting on the hosts. Experienced attacker Sam Vokes should continue to lead the line for Wycombe.
The Donny, on the other hand, are fighting tooth and nail to secure the League One survival. Doncaster are not regarded as good travelers, and, taking everything into account, they are unlikely to spoil Wycombe’s party at Adams Park. To make things even worse for the visiting side, their injury list is pretty long.
Highlighted Player (Jason McCarthy):
Jason McCarthy is a product of the famous Southampton youth academy. McCarthy started his youth career in his hometown club back in 2002 and he made his senior debut with the Saints in the Premier League on December 26, 2014, coming as a substitute for Nathaniel Clyne in a 3-1 away victory at Crystal Palace.
After spending a couple of seasons on loan at Wycombe Wanderers and Walsall, the English defender signed a three-year deal with Barnsley in the summer of 2017 for an undisclosed fee. Jason McCarthy was struggling to secure a first-team football at the Oakwell stadium outfit and, as a result, he returned to Wycombe Wanderers on August 9, 2018, penning a three-year contract with the League One side.
His preferred foot is right, his main position centre-back, but he is used as a right-back as well. Jason McCarthy was born in Southampton on November 7, 1995.
Highlighted Team (Doncaster):
Based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, Doncaster Rovers are an English football club that compete in the League One. Keepmoat Stadium is the club’s home ground. The venue was opened on August 3, 2007 and it can hold up to 15,231 spectators.
Doncaster Rovers footballers wear white shirts with red stripes and white shorts when playing on home soil, whereas the club’s away colours are dark blue and red. Speaking of the Rovers’ history, the club was established back in 1879 by Alber Jenkins, who worked as a fitter at Doncaster’s Great Northern Railway.
Doncaster Rovers shared the spoils with Rawmarsh in their first ever game. The likes of Rotherham United, Barnsley, Grimsby Town and Scuntorpe United are considered the club’s main rivals. Over the years Doncaster fans have developed a rivalry with Plymout Argule as there have been fireworks in their games. Donny Dog, that wears a red and white jersey, is the club’s mascot.
