The ground at legendary Hillsborough stadium will shake when Sheffield Wednesday and Portsmouth take on each other in the opening match of the season. The Owls failed to impress in the 2021/2022 League One season, and, no doubt, they are desperate to make amends for the unsuccessful campaign. The likes of David Stockdale, Ben Heneghan, Michael Ihiekwe, Michael Smith, Will Vaulks, and Akin Famewo have joined the club in the summer transfer window, but Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Chey Dunkley, Sam Hutchinson, and Joe Wildsmith will not be playing for the Hillsborough outfit anymore.
The Pompey, on the other hand, were anything but impressive in the last League One season, and seeing that they are eager to get off to a flying start as well, both teams to score betting option should be considered. New signings Marlon Pack, Michael Morrison, and Joe Rafferty are eyeing their official Portsmouth debuts against Wednesday.

Despite being born in Darlington, England on October 29, 1996, Bailey Peacock-Farrell represents Northern Ireland at senior level. The Northern Ireland international started his youth career at Middlesbrough, but in 2013 he joined Leeds United. The talented goalkeeper continued playing for Leeds United senior team and, no doubt, there is a bright future ahead of him.
Bailey Peacock-Farrell made his first-team debut for the Whites on April 5, 2016 in a home game against Queens Park Rangers. The two played out a 1-1 draw at Elland Road and it has to be noted that the goalkeeper conceded a penalty kick in the 87th minute of the match. The 192-cm tall shot-stopper has a contract with Leeds United which should expire on June, 2020.
As previously mentioned, the Leeds United goalkeeper represents Northern Ireland on the international stage, qualifying for the national team thanks to his grandfather Jim Farreell, who was born in Enniskillen.

During Milan Mandaric’s era at the club, Portsmouth played an important role in the Premier League, with the team finishing their debut season (2003/2004) in the 13th position in the standings. The club impressed in the 2008/2009 season, with Nwankwo Kanu’s goal helping them beat Cardiff City in the FA Cup final.
As a result, Portsmouth represented England in the Europa League, with the team progressing in the group stages of the competition thanks to a win over Vitoria Gimaraes in the final qualifying round.
