Our prediction for this Europa Conference League match:
Kopavogsvollur will host Thursday’s Conference League game between Breidablik and Buducnost, the two teams who meet for the first time ever in European competitions. Breidablik faced no difficulties in the double-header with Santa Coloma, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against Buducnost. The Icelanders outplayed Keflavik 3-2 in their last league match, and given their attacking potential, we are positive that the hosts will find the net in the first leg.
A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be talented winger Isak Thorvaldsson, who has been in a splendid form of late. The Montenegrins, on the other hand, booked their place in the second qualifying round by beating Lapi 4-2 on aggregate. Buducnost, though, often struggle on the travels, which is probably the main reason why the share of spoils is on the cards. Breidablik defenders should have Viktor Djukanovic at bay as the teenage forward scored a brace in the 2-2 draw with Lapi.
