Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Title-chasing Barcelona will look to make a flying start to the new La Liga campaign when they welcome Rayo Vallecano to their Camp Nou. The club chiefs did well to sign star attacker Robert Lewandowski in the summer, with Jules Kounde, Raphinha, Andreas Christensen, and Franck Kessie joining the squad as well. Barca look sharp up front, and we are positive that they will adopt an attack-minded approach in the season opener.
Head coach Xavi has a full squad to choose from for Saturday’s clash. Los Vallecanos, on the other hand, are undefeated in the previous five warm-up games, but Barcelona will pose a much bigger threat for the capital club than their previous rivals. Even though there are no injury concerns in the away side, anything but a routine home win would be a major surprise. Summer signing Salvi Sanchez is likely to make his La Liga debut with Rayo against Barca.
