Bristol Rovers
Barnsley will look to make amends for a 2-1 loss to Derby County when they host Bristol Rovers to their Oakwell on Matchday 4. The Tykes defeated Cheltenham 1-0 in their first home game of the season, which is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of Tuesday’s clash. Head coach Michael Duff could opt to make changes to the starting XI, with both Marsh and Cole pushing for a start.
The Pirates, on the other hand, quickly bounced back from a 2-1 loss to Forest Green, with the team beating both Burton and Oxford United in the previous two league fixtures. Bristol Rovers have been in a much better form of late than Barnsley, but seeing that the Tykes are tough to beat at home, the share of spoils is on the cards. There are no fresh injury worries in the away side.

Jason McCarthy is a product of the famous Southampton youth academy. McCarthy started his youth career in his hometown club back in 2002 and he made his senior debut with the Saints in the Premier League on December 26, 2014, coming as a substitute for Nathaniel Clyne in a 3-1 away victory at Crystal Palace.
After spending a couple of seasons on loan at Wycombe Wanderers and Walsall, the English defender signed a three-year deal with Barnsley in the summer of 2017 for an undisclosed fee. Jason McCarthy was struggling to secure a first-team football at the Oakwell stadium outfit and, as a result, he returned to Wycombe Wanderers on August 9, 2018, penning a three-year contract with the League One side.
His preferred foot is right, his main position centre-back, but he is used as a right-back as well. Jason McCarthy was born in Southampton on November 7, 1995.

Established back on August 1, 1883, Bristol Rovers are one of the oldest clubs in the League One. Bristol Rovers were formed after a meeting at the Eastville Restaurant under the name of Black Arabs after the Arabs rugby team.
