Our prediction for this Europa League match:
PSV and Bodo take on each other at Philips Stadion in what is expected to be one of the most entertaining games of Thursday’s program. Following thrilling back-to-back wins over Volendam and Excelsior, PSV suffered a 2-1 loss to Twente in their last league match, but the bookies still see them as favourites to beat Bodo in Eindhoven. Luuk de Jong faces race against clock to be fit for the Europa League opener, while both Marco Van Ginkel and Noni Madueke remain in the recovery room.
The Norwegian champions, on the other hand, were beaten by Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League playoffs. Since Bodo experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 4-1 defeat to Molde, we are tempted to put our money on Ruud van Nistelrooy’s charges. The bad news for the away side is that key player Amahl Pellegrino suffered an injury in the last league match.
