Our prediction for this Premier League match:
Nottingham Forest play host to Fulham at their City Ground on day 8 of the new Premier League campaign. The Reds made a promising start to the season, but they are on a three-game losing run ahead of the visit of Friday’s clash. Both Niakhate and Richards are sidelined with injuries, while Orel Mangala is a major doubt. The Cottagers, on the other hand, aim to bounce back from a 2-1 loss to Tottenham.
The capital club have been in a much better form of late than Nottingham Forest, and seeing that key attacker Aleksandar Mitrovic has already found his goal-scoring touch, away win should be considered. In their last meeting at the City Ground Fulham crushed Forest 4-0, and we predict that the history is going to repeat itself. As for the away team, both Wilson and Solomon are sidelined with injuries, while Robinson is a major doubt.
Highlighted Player (Jack Colback):
After spending nine years at Sunderland youth academy, Jack Colback signed a loan deal with Ipswich Town on 6 August, 2009. The left-footed midfielder, who is capable of playing at left back as well, made 37 appearances for the Championship side, scoring four goals in the English second tier.
Against all odds, Colback decided to sign for Sunderland’s bitterest rivals Newcastle United on 9 June, 2014 and it has to be noted he became the first player to move directly from Sunderland to Newcastle since 1998 when Lionel Perez did the same. In 2015 Sunderland fans created a sick banner depicting Colback hanging with a noose around his neck and that caused uproar on social media.
Colback and his teammates from Newcastle dropped to the Championship at the end of the 2015/2016 season, but he decided not to leave the club. Colback scored 5 goals in 64 appearances for Newcastle United in the Premier League. He is well known for his passing skills, he rarely gives the ball away and journalist often compare him with Italy ace Andrea Pirlo.
Highlighted Team (Fulham):
Fulham are a club from London that play in the Premier League. The capital club dropped to the English second tier at the end of the 2013/2014 Premier League campaign after failing to impress in the elite competition, but managed to return in season 2018/2019.
Fulham were founded in 1879 and they play their home matches at Craven Cottage. Fulham are the oldest-established club from the English capital to have played in the top flight.
Fulham finished the 2008/2009 Premier League campaign in seventh place in the standings and that is considered the team’s biggest success, speaking of their participation in the Premier League.
The Cottagers played in the Europa League twice and they did well to reach the FA Cup final in 1975, but they were beaten by their local rivals West Ham United in the title game (0-2). Chelsea are regarded as Fulham’s bitter rivals as well and the two teams take on each other in the North London derby.
