Our prediction for this Premier League match:
King Power Stadium will host Tuesday’s football game between Leicester City and Fulham. The Foxes have been struggling in festive fixtures, with the team losing to both Newcastle (0-3) and Liverpool (1-2), and they must be low on spirits ahead of the visit of Fulham. Patson Daka faces race against clock to be fit for the midweek match, while all James Maddison, Dennis Praet, Ricardo Pereira, Ryan Bertrand, James Justin, and Jonny Evans are sidelined with injuries.
The Cottagers, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Crystal Palace and Southampton. A man to watch in the away team will be top scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic despite failing to convert a penalty at the weekend, while all Solomon, Kurzawa, and Kebano are out of contention with injuries. Anyhow, away win should be considered as Fulham have been in a much better form of late that Leicester.
Highlighted Player (Jamie Vardy):
Spending his early career playing no-league football, Jamie Vardy made the headlines when he joined Leicester City in a £1 million deal in 2012, but little did he know that he would go on to become a genuine Premier League star just three years later.
The experienced forward helped the Foxes gain promotion to the elite division and then score more than 20 goals as they mounted an unlikely title bid, earning worldwide acclaim as well as a place in the England squad. Vardy went on to score his first two goals for the Three Lions in March 2016 friendlies, with his back-heel goal against Germany in Berlin seeing him instantly become a fans’ favourite.
Over the years, Vardy has earned a reputation as a striker who never gives up and can be a real menace for opposition defenders, but his excellent goalscoring record and good link-up play are enough to suggest he can be described as a mix of old-style pacey forwards and modern strikers.
Highlighted Team (Fulham):
Fulham are a club from London that play in the Premier League. The capital club dropped to the English second tier at the end of the 2013/2014 Premier League campaign after failing to impress in the elite competition, but managed to return in season 2018/2019.
Fulham were founded in 1879 and they play their home matches at Craven Cottage. Fulham are the oldest-established club from the English capital to have played in the top flight.
Fulham finished the 2008/2009 Premier League campaign in seventh place in the standings and that is considered the team’s biggest success, speaking of their participation in the Premier League.
The Cottagers played in the Europa League twice and they did well to reach the FA Cup final in 1975, but they were beaten by their local rivals West Ham United in the title game (0-2). Chelsea are regarded as Fulham’s bitter rivals as well and the two teams take on each other in the North London derby.
