After holding Newcastle to a draw at St. James’ Park, West Ham United will be looking to escape the danger zone when they take on Chelsea in the Premier League round 23. The Hammers are only one point clear of bottom three, meaning that Saturday’s local derby is of big importance for the home side. All Kurt Zouma, Maxwel Cornet, and Gianluca Scamacca remain on the sidelines with injuries. In Scamacca’s absence, Michail Antonio will continue to lead the line for the hosts.
The Blues, on the other hand, head into the London derby following a slim goalless draw with Fulham. Graham Potter’s men have been struggling to find their best form, and, taking everything into account, we do not believe that they are capable of grabbing more than one point from Saturday’s encounter. All Mendy, Fofana, Pulisic, Kovacic, Zakaria, Kante, and Broja miss out with injuries, while Raheem Sterling is pushing for a start.

Brazilian defender Thiago Silva is one of the highest rated defenders in world football. Having emerged from Fluminense youth ranks, the 31-year-old defender established himself as a world-class performer while plying his trade for AC Milan from 2009 to 2012.
Having largely contributed to Rossonerri’s title winning campaign in 2010-11, Thiago Silva moved to Paris Saint-Germain together with Zlatan Ibrahimovic for a reported fee worth €42 million, which made him then second-most expensive defender in football history after Rio Ferdinand.
Silva was an immediate success at the French club, helping Les Parisiens win four consecutive Ligue 1 titles in the process. Heavily linked with a move away from Parc des Princes, fan favourite Thiago Silva remains a key figure at Paris Saint-Germain and a leader of the new wave under head coach Unai Emery. Having already surpassed the 100-game mark for the French giants, Thiago Silva is slowly writing his name in the history books of Paris Saint-Germain.

Over the years Chelsea have established themselves as one of the dominant forces in the English Premier League. Roberto Di Matteo helped the team win their first ever Champions League trophy (2011/2012), but it has to be noted that they were more than fortunate to beat Bayern Munich in the title game.
Chelsea have been playing at Stamford Bridge since 1876 and they are a real force to be reckoned with at home. The Blues have won seven FA Cups, five League Cups, two UEFA Cup Winners’ Cups and the UEFA Europa League. Rafael Benitez was in charge of the team that faced Benfica in the 2012/2013 Europa League final, with Branislav Ivanovic scoring the winner for the Blues in the title clash.
After lifting the 2014/2015 Premier League trophy, the Blues largely struggled in the next campaign, which saw Jose Mourinho’s second spell with the club come to an end, and Antoine Conte went over to take the reigns for the 2016/2017 season.
