Everton
The ground at Anfield will shake when Liverpool and Everton face each other in the Merseyside derby. The Reds are low on spirits following a heavy 3-0 loss at Wolverhampton, but the bookies still see them as favourites to beat the Toffees in front of home fans. Jurgen Klopp can’t count on the likes of Van Dijk, Luis Diaz, Konate, Firmino, and Diogo Jota for the local derby. As always, a man to watch in the home team will be Mohamed Salah, who has netted seven goals so far this term.
Meanwhile, the Goodison Park outfit impressed on Sean Dyche’s debut, with the team beating league leaders Arsenal thanks to James Tarkowski’s goal. Everton, though, are not regarded as good travellers, and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Liverpool’s party at Anfield. Michael Keane is a major doubt, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin should be fit to lead the line for the visiting side.
Highlighted Player (Mohamed Salah):
Mohamed Salah is considered one of the best African players. Salah began his senior career at El Mokawloon, scoring 11 goals in 41 league appearances for the club and in 2012 he moved to Europe, signing a four-year deal with Swiss side Basel.
The pacey winger, who is capable of playing as a striker as well was producing outstanding displays for the RotBlau from 2012 to 2014 and, as a result, Chelsea chiefs decided to sign him on 26 January, 2015 for a fee of £11 million. Mohamed Salah, though, failed to impress in the Premier league and one year later he was sent on loan to Fiorentina.
After making 16 league appearances for the Viola in the Serie A, the left-footed winger signed a loan deal with Roma on 6 August, 2015. The Romans made the contract permanent on 3 August, 2016. Speaking of his international career, Salah made his Egypt debut on 3 September, 2011 in a 2-1 loss to Sierra Leone. It has to be noted that he was named Roma’s player of the season (2015/2016).

Everton are one of the two Merseyside giants that were formed back in 1878, with the club holding a long-standing rivalry with Liverpool. Everton have participated in the English top flight for a record 113 seasons, with the team competing in the English second tier in just four campaigns.
The Toffees play their home matches at Goodison Park, the stadium that was opened in 1892. Everton have won the national championship nine times, with the team winning their last domestic trophy back in 1987.
The Toffees have clinched five FA Cup trophies as well and it has to be noted that a victory over Manchester United in the 1994/1995 FA Cup final helped the team win their last title in the prestigious competition. Everton and Liverpool face each other in the Merseyside derby and the clash between the two local rivals has been called the Merseyside derby since 1955.
In the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign Everton were hammered by Liverpool (0-4) at Anfield.
