Our prediction for this League 1 match:
LNER stadium will host Tuesday’s League One game between Lincoln and MK Dons. The Imps have drawn each of their last three league matches, but the bookies see them as favourites to beat the Dons in front of home fans. Lewis Montsma serves the last of his three-game ban, while both Joe Walsh and Adam Jackson are sidelined with injuries. Matty Virtue is a major doubt, and he will be assessed ahead of the kick-off.
The Dons, on the other hand, suffered yet another dip in form, with the team extending their losing run to three games against Ipswich Town. The visitors are eager to escape the relegation zone, but given their shaky defence, we do not believe that Lincoln will have a better chance than this to return to winning ways. Daniel Harvie faces race against the clock to be fit for Tuesday’s clash, while both Warren O’Hora and Dean Lewington are sidelined with injuries.
Highlighted Player (Teddy Bishop):
Having joined Ipswich as an eight-year-old, Teddy Bishop rose through the ranks at Portman Road to become one of the key players for the Tractor Boys. Bishop’s road to prominence hit a serious roadblock in his first year of the academy scholarship when he endured a serious back injury, but it was in 2014 that he went from strength to strength – proving his worth at the club and emerging as one of the most promising players in the squad.
The total of 36 appearances in his debut season with the first team were more than enough to make an impression on the fans and the club hierarchy which offered him a new long-term deal.
This deep-lying midfielder in characterized by impressive passing accuracy, vision and great reading of the play. Bishop is an asset defensively as well, but he is most comfortable sitting just above the back line, spraying balls around. As a two-footed midfielder, Teddy Bishop is regularly being watched by a number of Premier League biggest clubs.
Highlighted Team (MK Dons):
Based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes Dons are a League One club that welcome their rivals at Stadium MK. The venue was opened in 2007 and can hold up to 30,500 spectators. Milton Keynes Dons play their home games in white shirts and white shorts, whilst their away kit is red.
The Dons are one of the youngest clubs in England as they were founded in 2004, but they are well known for youth development. English attacker is the club’s all-time top goal-scorer, netting 62 goals in 165 appearances for MK Dons. Dele Alli, who currently plays for Tottenham Hotspur, is the most famous footballer to have played for the Milton Keynes Dons, netting 18 goals in 62 appearances for the club in the league.
Speaking of notable coaches, it has to be noted that former Liverpool superstar Robbie Fowler and ex German international Dietmar Hamman were in charge of the club.
