Elindus Arena will host Sunday’s football game between Waregem and Gent, the two teams with entirely different ambitions in the remainder of the season. Waregem are desperate to escape the relegation zone, but given their poor defensive display in a 4-2 loss to Leuven, home win should not be considered. Ruud Vormer misses out with injury, while both Martijn Beernaert and Moudou Tambedou are rated doubtful for the match.
Gent, on the other hand, aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Anderlecht. Gent have been in a much better form than Waregem of late, and we predict that they will pick up all three points from the match. Both Andrew Hjulsager and Tarik Tissoudali remain in the treatment room, while Darko Lemajic will be assessed ahead of the kick-off.

Belgian defender Sven Kums began his youth career at Dilbeek Sport and in 1996 he joined Anderlecht. Despite spending seven years at the club, he did not see any game action with the Belgian giants at senior level. After ending his loan spells with the likes of Lierse and Kortrijk, he signed a permanent deal with de Kerels in 2008.
The 176-cm-tall midfielder, who was born on 26 February, 1988, scored 12 goals in 116 league appearances for Kortrijk and in 2011 he moved to Netherlands, signing a contract with Heerenveen. In 2013 he returned to Belgium, joining Zulte Waregem.
In the summer of 2014 he moved to fellow Belgian outfit Gent and at the end of the 2015/2016 season he signed a loan deal with Udinese. Kums has 12 caps for Belgium U21 and it has to be noted that his father Ludo Kums is working as a coach at Anderlecht. Sven Kums is a centre midfielder, but he plays as both attacking midfielder and defensive midfielder as well.

Over the years Zulte Waregem have established themselves as a top-table side in Belgian Super League. The Essevee are a product of a partnership between Zulte and Waregem and it has to be noted that Zulte Sportief were founded back in 1950.
Zulte Waregem impressed in the 2012/2013 Belgian Super League campaign, with the team finishing the process in second place in the standings, only four points behind champions Anderlecht. As a result, the Essevee booked their place in the Europa League group stages, but despite recording victories over the likes of Maribor and Wigan Athletic in Group D the Belgian side eventually failed to advance to the knockout stages of the European competition.
Zulte Waregem, who welcome their rivals at Regenboogstadion, will play in the group stages of the Europa League in the 2017/2018 season. Zulte Waregem, who won the Belgian Cup in the 2016/2017 season, will face the likes of Nice, Lazio and Vitesse in Group K.
