Gillingham will look to build on a 2-1 win over Crewe when they take on Carlisle in the League Two round 38. The Gills proved their worth in the midweek clash, with the team escaping the danger zone, but they can’t afford any complacency in the remainder of the season. Aiden O’Brien is widely expected to return to the starting XI after scoring the winner as a substitute against Crewe, while there are no fresh injury worries in the home team.
The Cumbrians, on the other hand, aim to stay in the automatic promotion berth, and seeing that they want this win more than Gillingham, we are tempted to put our money on the visiting side. After his loan spells with Milton Keynes Dons, Portsmouth and Plymouth Argyle, O’Keefe moved to Gillingham at the end of the 2018/2019 season. He made his League One debut with the club on August 3, 2019 in a 1-1 draw with Doncaster Rovers. His main position is central midfield, but he is used as both defensive and attacking midfielder as well. His preferred foot is right.
