Ipswich Town and Bristol Rovers square off against each other at Portman Road in a highly-anticipated EFL Cup game. The Tractor Boys made a promising start to the season, with the team beating Sunderland at Stadium of Light on Matchday 1 and, as a result, the odds for home win have been dropping. Kieran McKenna is widely expected to rest several first-team regulars against Bristol Rovers, with Harness, Ball, and Ladapo pushing for a start. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team ahead of Wednesday’s clash.
The Pirates, meanwhile, head into the match following a 1-1 draw with Portsmouth where they had the lead until Kusini Yengi’s stoppage-time equalizer. Sam Morsy is a professional footballer who plays for Wigan Athletic in the Championship. His full name is Samy Sayed Morsy and he started his youth career at Wolverhampton Wanderers. During his spell with Wolves he was spotted by Port Vale scouts and in 2008 joined the Vale Park outfit.
The talented midfielder made his debut for the first team on 23 February, 2010 in a 4-0 win over Lincoln City and at the end of the 2009/2010 campaign he was given the Youth Player of the Year award. After playing 71 league games for Port Vale, Sam Morsy joined Chesterfield in July 2013 and on 30 march 2014 he participated in the Football League Trophy final. However, he did not help Chesterfield beat Peterborough United in the title game (1-3).
On 28 January 2016 Morsy signed a two-and- a-half year contract with Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee. Sam Morsy was born in Wolverhampton on 10 September, 1991 and he was father is Egyptian.

Established back on August 1, 1883, Bristol Rovers are one of the oldest clubs in the League One. Bristol Rovers were formed after a meeting at the Eastville Restaurant under the name of Black Arabs after the Arabs rugby team.
This name, though, lasted no more than one season as the club was renamed Eastville Rovers in 1884. Five years later the club’s name was officially changes to Bristol Rovers. Nicknamed the Pirates, Bristol Rovers welcome their opponents at Memorial Stadium Horfield, the venue with the capacity of 12,296. Bristol Rovers are well known for their blue and white home kit, but they are dressed in yellow when playing on the travels.
Ricky Lambert, who used to play for the likes of Southampton and Liverpool in the Premier League, is regarded as one of the club’s most notable footballers. It has to be noted that Lambert scored 51 goals in 128 appearances for the Pirates in the league.
