Our prediction for this Scottish Premiership match:
After surviving St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park, Celtic will look to cement top position in the standings when they take on Hibernian on Wednesday evening. The Hoops dropped two points in a 1-1 draw with Motherwell in their last home game and, no doubt, they are eager to get back on course at their Celtic Park. Ireland forward Mikey Johnston is widely expected to return to the starting XI, while all Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate, Liel Abada, and James McCarthy continue to miss out with injuries.
The Hibs, on the other hand, are on a three-game winning run in the Scottish top flight, but the reigning champions will pose a much bigger threat for Nick Montgomery’s troops at than their previous rivals. In their last meeting in Glasgow Hibernian defeated Celtic 4-2 and we predict that history is going to repeat itself. The visitors will be without Adam Le Fondre, Jake Doyle-Hayes, and Chris Cadden in the midweek game.
