Our prediction for this Championship match:
Buoyed by a 3-1 win over Huddersfield Town, Preston will look to give fans yet another reason to celebrate when they take on Watford in the Championship round 22. The Lilywhites have a nice opportunity to climb to the playoffs berth and we are positive that they will adopt an attack-oriented approach against Watford. Milutin Osmajic misses out with a groin problem, while Saturday’s clash comes too early for Emil Riis Jakobsen.
The Hornets, on the other hand, suffered a 2-1 loss to Ipswich Town on Tuesday evening to drop to 12th place in the standings. Watford and Preston, though, seem to be evenly matched at the moment and we believe that punters from all around the globe can find value in betting on draw. The Hornets head coach Valerien Ismael has a luxury to field the best possible side against the Lilywhites.
Highlighted Player (Alan Browne):
Alan Browne is a Republic of Ireland international who plays for Preston North End as a central midfielder. Born in Cork on April 15, 1999, Browne began his youth career at Ringmahon Rangers, but he soon moved to his hometown club Cork City.
Despite being part of the Cork City senior team, he did not enjoy first-team football with the Rebel Army. On January 1, 2014 Alan Browne signed a deal with Preston North End in the League One and one year later he helped the Lilywhites beat Preston in the play-off final and secure promotion to the Championship.
The 179-cm-tall midfielder has established himself as a first-team regular at Preston and it has to be noted that he played for the Ireland national team in the past as well. Alan Browne made his Republic of Ireland debut on February 6, 2017 in a friendly game against Mexico.
