Pirelli Stadium will host Friday’s football game between Burton Albion and Shrewsbury Town, the two bottom-table sides. The Brewers aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Blackpool and they are seen as slim favourites to win this match. Talented tactician Gary Mills is unlikely to make changes to the team that won the Boxing Day clash.
The Shrews, on the other hand, are on a three-game losing run in the English third tier. Matt Taylor’s men failed to impress in a 2-0 loss to Cheltenham Town and seeing that they did not have a single shot on target in the Whaddon Road defeat, we are tempted to place our bets on Burton this time out. The good news for the visiting side is that Grenada defender Aaron Pierre has overcome his injury. Burton are on a four-game losing run in meetings with Shrewsbury, but the time has come for the Brewers to put an end to the negative trend.

Sam Winnall began his professional career at the age of 19. The striker, who was born on 19 January, 1991, made his Wolverhampton debut in May 2009 and he has been playing for a number of English clubs ever since.
He was on loan at Burton Albion, Hereford United, Inverness CT and Shrewsbury Town and in the 2013/2014 campaign he signed a contract with Scunthorpe United. Sam Winnall scored 23 goals in 45 appearances for the club and, as a result, secured a lucrative move to Barnsley in 2014. He went on to score his first goal for Barnsley on 23 August 2014 in a 4-1 win over Gillingham.
Winnall helped Barnsley eliminate Walsall in the 2015/2016 League One semis as he scored a brace in the first leg. It has to be noted that he scored 23 goals in the English second tier in the 2015/2016 season. He provided 8 assists for his teammates during the season and he finished the campaign as the third highest goalscorer in the league, just behind Nicky Ajose and Will Grigg.

Based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, Shrewsbury Town are a professional club that play home games at New Meadow stadium, the venue which was opened in 2007 and has the capacity of 10,361. Shrewsbury Town were founded back in 1886, with some reports indicating the club was established at the Lion Hotel.
The Blues wear blue shirts with yellow stripe and blue shorts when playing at home, whilst the colour of their away kit is purple.
