Our prediction for this Championship match:
All eyes will be on MKM Stadium when Hull City and Norwich City lock horns in a highly-anticipated Championship clash. The Tigers are eyeing their first win of the year and we are positive that they will adopt an attack-oriented approach in Friday’s clash. Tyler Morton is banned for the match, while all Ruben Vinagre, Jaden Philogene, and Dogukan Sinik are out of contention with injuries. Adama Traore is on international duty with Mali.
The Canaries, on the other hand, aim to put an end to their four-match winless run in all competitions. As the visitors will go for a win in Friday’s showdown as well, we are tempted to put our money on both teams to score. Defender Dimitris Giannoulis and midfielder Jakob Sorensen should be the only absentees in the visiting team, whereas Ireland forward Adam Idah is pushing for a start.
Highlighted Player (Grant Hanley):
Grant Hanley is Scottish footballer who plays for Norwich City as defender. Hanley was born in Dumfries, Scotland, on November 20, 1991 and he started his youth career at Queen of the South. After ending his spells with Crewe Alexandra and Rangers, the Scottish player joined English club Blackburn Rovers, where he started his senior career.
After scoring eight goals in 183 appearances for the Riversiders in league matches, he moved to fellow English club Newcastle United in July, 2016 for an undisclosed fee. Grant Hanley, though, made no more than 10 appearances for Newcastle United in the Championship before joining Norwich City. The 191-cm-tall defender made his full international debut for Scotland against Wales on in May, 2011.
He scored his first goal for the Scotland national football team in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Wales. His contract with Norwich City should expire on June 30, 2021.
Highlighted Team (Norwich):
After spending only one season in the Premier League, Norwich City dropped to the Championship at the end of the 2015/2016 campaign. Norwich City are located in Norwich, Norfolk and they welcome their rivals at Carrow Road.
The stadium was built and opened in 1935 and the capacity of the venues is 27,137 (all-seater). However the stadium’s record attendance is 43,984. The Canaries have won two League Cup trophies (1973, 1975) and their main rivals are Ipswich Town. The two teams have been facing each other in the East Anglian Derby since 1902.
The colour of Norwich City’s home kit is yellow and green and that is the main reason why they are known as the Canaries. The likes of Kevin Keeland, Ian Culverhouse, Steve Bruce, Duncan Forbes, Mark Bowen, Darren Huckerby, Ian Crook, Martin Peters, Darren Eadier, Chris Sutton and Iwan Roberts are notable footballers who played for the Carrow Road outfit in the past.
